Luna Park

Located on the north shore of Sydney, right in the centre of Milsons point, Luna park is the famous amusement park which overlooks the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

The park is divided into six sections, each one with its own theme. The huge smiling face – is what welcomes you into the park, and can be seen for miles, even when looking from the other side of the city.

The Midway point is located just as you enter the park, and is the access point from the car park. It also is where the ticket booth and some of the permanent rides are.

Crystal Palace is where many of the function rooms are – birthdays, parties and many weddings are held in this hall every month. When the palace is not being used, it also acts as a bar which is a very popular attraction for the adults.

Big Top is another function hall, but a lot bigger than Crystal Palace. It has been home to many of the big functions held in Sydney, including the MTV awards and Australia’s Next Top Model.

Coney Island is known as the ‘fun house’ of the park. With many small rides and slides, it is very popular for the younger age group.

Maloney’s Corner is hidden just behind Coney Island and has about 5 permanent rides including the Ranger, which swings the whole 360 degrees around.

Luna Park is great fun for all the family, and another way to see Sydney at different heights!
