Circular Quay and The Rocks

Circular quay and the Rocks is one of the most vibrant destinations in Sydney. A spectacular  view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from almost any restaurant situated on the harbour,  is what makes dining in this part of Sydney well worth it.

Circular quay is home to many street entertainers, Aborigines artists, the famous royal botanical gardens and the museum of contemporary art, all found within the Sydney Cove.

The south side of the Quay holds one of the most famous architectural buildings in the world, The Sydney Opera House, whilst the north side takes you to the Harbour Bridge situated in the Rocks. The hustle and bustle of the central business district contains many hotels which overlook the beautiful sights of Sydney. With ferries leaving every few minutes it is no wonder why it is known as the hub of Sydney Harbour.

Ferries are plenty in this part of Sydney, providing travel to many parts of the harbour, including Manly and Taronga Zoo. A ride on the ferry itself is relatively cheap considering this relaxing boat ride offers an up close view on the Opera house and Harbour bridge, unable to capture from anywhere else. For no more than $3 dollars return to Taronga zoo (concession) it’s a cheap way to explore the different parts of Sydney.

A trip down to the Quay is the perfect getaway on a summer’s day. A stroll through the Rocks featuring many designer shops and hundreds of small bars and cafes is what makes Sydney such a breathtaking city.
